The Climate Visualiser dashboard allows users to browse our collection of maps from the 8-km and 2-km domains and time series for various locations for different Atmospheric variables and of Sea Level. Simply choose from the options available, click submit and visualise.
Relative sea level rise is the net result of six components: 1) melting of the Antarctic ice sheet, 2) melting of the Greenland ice sheet, 3) melting of glaciers and mountain ice caps, 4) changes in groundwater storage, 5) ocean thermal expansion and 6) water mass re-distribution due to changes in ocean circulation, and vertical land motion (i.e., the local land subsidence or uplift caused by factors such as glacial isostatic adjustment and sediment compaction.) Here we present the relative contributions of the six components driving relative sea-level rise for each of the six gauge stations around Singapore under the worst-case, high global emissions scenario (SSP5-8.5).
